About me

I’m Emma. I have 20 years experience in marketing and love the strategic role marketing plays in shaping a business and ultimately its success. I also have a passion for building relationships and working together as a team to achieve a common goal.

Whatever your challenge, I’m here to support your business aspiration. Whether you need some outside, independent advice on your marketing strategy, an extra pair of hands to deliver a key project or you're missing the necessary in-house experience.

I believe that to see results in marketing it needs to be based on a long term relationship. I get under the skin of your business, to understand your drivers, opportunities and challenges in order to put together a plan that will help you achieve your goals.

My Background

My marketing career began at MIDAS (Manchester’s Inward Investment Agency), a public sector agency marketing Manchester as a destination for businesses to relocate to. Promoting my home city ignited a passion for marketing.

Since then, my work has covered B2B marketing, commercial property marketing and regeneration, professional services, facilities management, and energy. I have also volunteered to provide marketing advice to a community theatre charity. My roles have included being hands-on as well as senior positions leading marketing functions for the whole business. 

I began my freelance career in order to tackle fresh challenges that you don’t necessarily get from working for one business. I take that learning onto new businesses.  

From my experience of working in-house, the day-to-day always got in the way of strategic marketing activity which was often layered onto already overloaded teams. I can work with your in-house teams and agencies to help drive that activity forward.
